From director, Neil Marshall is a post-apocalyptic science fiction action movie  Doomsday . A deadly virus, called the "Reaper Virus" breaks out in Scotland and the UK government decides to build a wall in order to contain it, and the nation falls into a dystopia. 27 years later, more people become infected in London, and the government sends a team into the quarantine zone to search for a cure. Irish actress Nora-Jane Noone co-stars as the character Read in the 2008 film, which combines futuristic and medieval elements in this apocalyptic tale.  

Nora-Jane Noone Discusses Wildfire Character In Interview

Wildfire is a 2021 film about two sisters, Lauren and Kelly who grew up on the Irish border. Kelly, played by actress Nika McGuigan, returns after having gone missing. Together they uncover the truth about their deceased mother amid town rumors and lingering trauma of The Troubles. Irish actress Nora-Jane Noone stars as Lauren , who tries to maintain a sense of normality that gets slowly chipped away after the return of her sister. Nora-Jane Noone appeared in a 2020 interview with Bonnie Laufer where she discusses her character. "There's moments for all of us in life where you're dealing with so much that you just go tunnel vision and practical and just get on with it you know and it's not till you have a moment to breathe that you get to deal with all of that. And that's Lauren. She's been knotted and tied up for years." In 2021 Noone was nominated for Best Actress for her outstanding performance in Wildfire at the Irish Film and Television Awards.

  Irish actress Nora-Jane Noone stars in futuristic psychological sci-fi thriller Identicals with co-stars Lachlan Nieboer and Nick Blood. In this film, a man named Slater (Lachlan Nieboer) must take action when an organization that replaces people with doppelgangers goes after his girlfriend, Nadia ( Nora-Jane Noone ). This unconventional romantic drama tackles themes of identity, uniqueness, and the desire to start over.  Nora-Jane Noone and her co-star answer questions at a Q&A panel for Identicals at the Paris Film Festival.

Watch Irish actress Nora Jane Noone in the 2009 BBC mini-series based on the 1951 science fiction novel 'Day of the Triffids'.  Noone plays Lucy in this two part post-apocalyptic miniseries where the world is plagued by an aggressive, carnivorous species of plant that blinds people.  Nora Jane Noone's most recent television role was as Dr. Karen Newton in the 2022 series 'The Ipcress File'.  Noone has also recently appeared at the British Independent Film Awards and the Irish Film and Television Awards for her performance in the 2020 film Wildfire .

  Inspired by Greek mythology, Atlantis is a fantasy-adventure television show that aired in 2013 on BBC One. Irish actress Nora-Jane Noone plays Atalanta, a figure from Grek mythology who was abandoned in the woods as an infant. Atalanta is a skilled archer and has healing powers.  Nora-Jane Noone appears in the episode 'The Price of Hope". The show follows Jason, a submarine pilot who finds himself on a mysterious island where he encounters all of these mythological figures. Atlantis, which has 25 episodes, is available to watch on BBC iPlayer. Nora-Jane Noone recently appeared at the British Independent Film Awards and the Irish Film and Television Awards for her performance in the 2020 film Wildfire.  

Nora-Jane Noone Stars Plays Sheila in Brooklyn

Brooklyn is a 2015 romance drama about an Irish immigrant, Eilis (played by Saoirse Ronan), in 1950s Brooklyn who falls in love with an Italian local, Tony (played by Emory Cohen). Irish actress Nora-Jane Noone features as Sheila, a fellow lodger at Eilis’s boarding house. The film was released in 2015 and received positive reviews from critics with a 7.5/10 on IMBD and a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.  Brooklyn is available to watch on multiple steaming platforms, including Amazon Prime. 

Nora-Jane Noone Features in My Sailor, My Love

Finnish Director Klaus Härö’s debut feature film is set to release mid-summer 2022 after filming in the West of Ireland.   The film centres around Howard (James Cosmo), a retired, widowed sea captain who comes home to spend his days in peace, but refuses any help from his daughter, Grace (Catherine Walker). Howard hires a home aid, Annie (Brid Brennan), and they end up falling in love, despite Grace not approving of the relationship. Irish actress Nora-Jane Noone features in the film as Kelly.  My Sailor, My Love was made with support from the Wrap Fund West-Ireland, the Finnish Film Foundation, and Screen Ireland.  Nora-Jane Noone recently won Best Actress at the Irish Film and Television Awards for her performance in Wildfire.  In March 2022, Nora-Jane Noone also attended the US-Ireland Alliance’s 16th Annual Oscar Wilde Awards at the Ebell Club of Los Angeles.
