Nora-Jane Noone Features in My Sailor, My Love

Finnish Director Klaus Härö’s debut feature film is set to release mid-summer 2022 after filming in the West of Ireland.

The film centres around Howard (James Cosmo), a retired, widowed sea captain who comes home to spend his days in peace, but refuses any help from his daughter, Grace (Catherine Walker). Howard hires a home aid, Annie (Brid Brennan), and they end up falling in love, despite Grace not approving of the relationship. Irish actress Nora-Jane Noone features in the film as Kelly. 

My Sailor, My Love was made with support from the Wrap Fund West-Ireland, the Finnish Film Foundation, and Screen Ireland.

Nora-Jane Noone recently won Best Actress at the Irish Film and Television Awards for her performance in Wildfire.

In March 2022, Nora-Jane Noone also attended the US-Ireland Alliance’s 16th Annual Oscar Wilde Awards at the Ebell Club of Los Angeles.

A deadly virus, called the "Reaper Virus" breaks out in Scotland and the UK government decides to build a wall in order to contain it, and the nation falls into a dystopia. 27 years later, more people become infected in London, and the government sends a team into the quarantine zone to search for a cure. Irish actress Nora-Jane Noone co-stars as the character Read in the 2008 film, which combines futuristic and medieval elements in this apocalyptic tale.
