A deadly virus, called the "Reaper Virus" breaks out in Scotland and the UK government decides to build a wall in order to contain it, and the nation falls into a dystopia. 27 years later, more people become infected in London, and the government sends a team into the quarantine zone to search for a cure.

Irish actress Nora-Jane Noone co-stars as the character Read in the 2008 film, which combines futuristic and medieval elements in this apocalyptic tale.
