Nora-Jane Noone Talks About Women In Film

 In 2017, Irish actres s Nora-Jane Noone appeared at Irish Screen America in Los Angeles. While there, she gave a short interview to Brigid Boden of Irish ETV , talking about what it's like to be a woman in film and an Irish actress working in L.A.  In the interview, she gave advice to Irish actors looking to make a career in Los Angeles. Noone: Work hard, enjoy the process,  enjoy every audition and every character you get to try out, because that will be the majority of your career will be the auditions. You know, that's the hours you put in. And you know, we were saying in the panel, it's very much like planting the seeds and you never know when they're gonna flourish. So, it really is just consistent hard work and enjoying it.  Nora-Jane Noone made her screen debut in 2002 with the Magdalene Sisters and was recently nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Film for the Irish Film & Television Academy Award in 2021 for her role in Wildfire.

  Wildfire, starring Nora-Jane Noone and Nika McGuigan, is a film about two sisters who grew up on the Irish border. One have them has been missing and suddenly returns home. Together, they uncover the secrets of their deceased mother's past.  In 2021, Irish actress Nora Jane Noone won the Best Actress Award for her performance in Wildfire at the Dinard Film Festival. Nora-Jane Noone and Wildfire director Cathy Brady went on a press tour for Wildfire, stopping in Galway and Belfast. They also attended a memorial screening of Wildfire in honor of Nika McGuigan.

 Irish actress Nora-Jane Noone appeared at the Paris Film Festival with her co-stars from the 2015 film Identicals .  Identicals is a science fiction psychological thriller about a man, Slater (Lachlan Nieboer) who must act when an organization replaces his girlfriend Nadia (Nora-Jane Noone) with a doppelganger. The cast held a Q&A session with the audience to discuss the film.

  Irish actress Nora-Jane Noone and fellow cast members of I Hate The Man In My Basement  appeared at the 2017 Newport Beach Film Festival in California. After the death of his wife, Claude (Chris Marquette) develops a crush on his dancing teacher Kyra ( Nora-Jane Noone ), but is harboring a secret in his basement.  This thriller/drama directed by Dustin Cook sees claude attemping to navigate this budding romance, griving the loss of his wife, and struggling to decide what to do about his peculiar secret.

  Irish actress Nora-Jane Noone appeared at the British Independent Film Awards in 2021, where she won Best Actress in an Ensemble Role. She was also nominated for best newcomer that year. Nora-Jane Noone stars in Wildfire, an Irish film about two sisters who are reunited and discover secrets from their mother's past. Noone was photographed at the awards with Wildfire director, Cathy Brady. Noone was also photographed with Cathy Brady, who accepted Best Actress awards on behalf of Noone and Nika McGuigan for their performance in Wildfire . McGuigan sadly passed during post-production of the film in 2019.

A deadly virus, called the "Reaper Virus" breaks out in Scotland and the UK government decides to build a wall in order to contain it, and the nation falls into a dystopia. 27 years later, more people become infected in London, and the government sends a team into the quarantine zone to search for a cure. Irish actress Nora-Jane Noone co-stars as the character Read in the 2008 film, which combines futuristic and medieval elements in this apocalyptic tale.
